Summer Casual Clothing for Men

It’s official, summer is finally here, the days will be longer, the nights shorter and it definitely will be a lot hotter. But guys, it’s not too late to talk about what to wear this summer. As you all know, summer calls for casual clothing for men and of course also for women. For sure, the girls have their wardrobe already filled with the hottest and trendiest summer wear long before Memorial Day weekend. So let’s leave out the girls and concentrate on you guys. Here are some tips on what casual clothes for men will make you feel your coolest and look your hottest. Shirts – With a white oxford shirt, you’ll never go wrong this summer but it won’t hurt either if you mix things up every now and then. A pinstripe or windowpane patterned oxford, cotton button-down shirt or a blue gingham shirt are good choices too. Cotton is the best shirt fabric though for summer. The key to a hot look with your oxford or cotton shirt is a perfect fit, not tight nor loose either. Pants – The ultimate in casual pants is still denims, a well-worn denim pants. Leave out the artificial denim washes – acid or stone and stick to basic blues with a slim fit. Chinos and khaki trousers will not go amiss as well. If the occasion calls for short, opt for khaki, seersucker or cotton patterned(-bold plaids are great) shorts that has a slim fit, one that runs in a straight line from hip to hem and ends above the knee for about an inch or two. Footwear – Please, not flip flops unless you’re on the beach or having a backyard barbecue at home. If you want your feet to breath, choose leather sandals sans socks. Boat shoes, saddle shoes, brogues, moccasins, sneakers and boots are all fashionable footwear for summer
