Fuel efficient SUVs

People love SUVs and why not? They look great, have lots of room, and have lots of power. How could you not love a SUV? The biggest problem with SUVs is that they tend to eat gas. But there are lots of fuel efficient SUVs that are available in 2010, and if you just look for them, you will be able to find them and take your pick. The Subaru Forester AWD is an excellent fuel efficient SUV. It has balance, looks great inside and out, has 170 horsepower under the hood, and gets 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway with a manual transmission, and 20/26 with an automatic. The 2010 Mazda CX-7 is a beautiful streamlined shape that has 161 horsepower and gets 20 mpg city/28 mpg highway with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It’s a very reasonable price for so much car. The Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute/Mercury Mariner 2WD is a great SUV that has a 171 horsepower 4-cylinder engine and a six speed automatic transmission that gets 24 mpg. Drive on the highway a lot? Then you want the Chevy Equinox/GMC Terrain FWD. This SUV has everything you could want, including 182 horsepower and a six speed automatic transmission. This SUV gets 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway. The hybrid version has 153 horsepower and a 4 cylinder engine. It gets 34 mpg city/32 mpg highway if you have the FWD version, and 29/28 if you have the AWD. You can’t go wrong with any of these SUVs, and there is sure to be a great, fuel-efficient SUV in your price range no matter what your budget is.
